Religious Education Resources

Purpose:

To promote good quality religious education in primary schools by providing curricular support material suitable for photocopying and tailored to the needs of the RME curriculum.

To supply Bibles suitable for young children to support levels C & D of the RME curriculum.

To offer school assembly material in the form of OHP transparencies to cover festivals and beliefs from Christian viewpoints.

To arrange visits for Bible Storytellers with a special gift in communicating with children through art, music and puppetry as well as the story itself.

To promote the Real Life Postal Sunday School as a method of interesting children in systematic Bible study.

Future Developments:

Introduction of new technology eg CD and Internet material

To make a response to the development in schools of employing teachers to teach RME as a special subject.
